Clayton King was adopted at two weeks old, a journey he often shares as part of his inspiring story of faith and family. He became a Christian in the 8th grade and felt called to preach by age 14, beginning a lifetime of ministry and service. A graduate of Gardner-Webb University, where he also completed seminary, Clayton is the Founder and President of Crossroads Summer Camps, Crossroads Conferences, and Crossroads Missions, ministries that impact thousands annually.

Clayton serves as the Teaching Pastor and Overseer at Newspring Church in South Carolina and is also a Minister in Residence and Distinguished Professor of Evangelism at Anderson University. He has authored 18 books, including the 2015 Young Adult Book of the Year, True Love Project. His weekly teaching program, Crossroads with Clayton King, airs on the Billy Graham Radio Network, reaching listeners around the world.

His passion for sharing the gospel has taken him to 54 countries, and he previously served as Campus Pastor at Liberty University. Clayton has been married to his wife Sharie since 1999, and they have two sons, Jacob (20) and Joseph (17).

In addition to his ministry, Clayton loves the outdoors, strong black coffee, 80s and 90s music, and good BBQ. He’s known for his quirky dislikes, such as cilantro, and his fears of clowns and spiders. Clayton has the unique ability to talk backwards and has even been mistaken for country music star Garth Brooks—once giving an autograph!

Clayton is passionate about preaching the life-changing message of Jesus and loves to speak about relationships, family, and raising kids. He also frequently addresses topics like depression, anxiety, and overcoming worry, sharing his own personal struggles to encourage others. His adoption story, including how he found his biological family in his 40s, continues to be a powerful testimony of God's grace and redemption.
